Rest day today - Happy Birthday Christine

Yesterday I was not able to get connected to the Internet. Our computer has really been acting funny. Jim did 16 miles yesterday and was really tired when he came down off the mountain. He said he felt like he had run a marathon. One of the hills he had to go over was very steep and took several rests to make it to the top. He said he met quite a few other people resting too along the way. When Beau and I got to the pick up spot he wasn't there yet so we started up the trail to meet him. Beau was like a dog possessed. I don't know what he smells when he gets in the mountains but he just goes and goes. I had to make him turn around after about 15 minutes. I was afraid he would not be able to get back down as some parts were rather hilly and steep. But he went down just fine. And we were only down about 5 minutes and Jim came off the mountain too. So we probably would have met up with him if we had gone just a little farther.

The campground we are staying at is really crowded now. It was nice when we had the place to ourselves. They weren't kidding when they said it would be full for Memorial Day weekend. There are more kids riding around on bikes and motor scooters and campers everywhere. Last night they had a band playing music at the pavilion. Mostly southern rock. They weren't half bad. Not sure what festivities they will have tonight.

Today we are going to see what is in town and then hang around the campground. They have a lake for fishing and a putt putt course here so we will probably check that out. Tomorrow we move to Deep Creek and are staying in a CABIN. Yeah, a real bed.
