Travel Day

Today we are leaving Unicoi and traveling to Bald Mountain Campground which is in Hiawassee, Georgia. All of the parks we have stayed in so far have been gorgeous. The mountains and trees are something we don't get to see at home. The only complaint I have about Unicoi is that the bathroom was uphill. It's really hard to walk uphill when you have to go real bad. And if the weather could make up it's mind this trip would be perfect. Yesterday it was sunny and warm all day, then at dinner time it rained and got cool. We had a nice fire at the camp site so that was nice. And we slept under the sleeping bag so that was OK too. But then when you have to get up and get out of the van at 7am and it's only 56 out it wakes you up right quick. See, I'm picking up the lingo around here. Some of the folks sure do talk funny here. But everyone has been friendly and helpful.

So we are off to a new area. We are supposed to have wifi at this campground too so I will try to post again later. We'll see how that goes. The wifi has been pretty good here except that you have to go to the Lodge to access it. Bald Mountain is supposed to have it at the campsites. I'll let you know how that works out. It's only about a 40 minute drive to the next spot so we are going to do some exploring along the way. We'll check out the drop off and pick up spots for Jim's next set of hikes.
